Optîmance offers an e-learning program
that enables candidates to access a full range of online career continuation
services from any location. The Optîmance online career continuation
program provides a successful blend of high-tech/high-touch services to a
wider audience of candidates and their sponsoring organizations.
Based around a virtual career center, the complete program provides resources,
training, networking, and personalized consultant support. It is an excellent
resource for “remote” candidates who are unable to access one
of our career center locations, and the program is an effective alternative
to classroom-based workshops. The Optîmance career continuation program
is an added value for companies where only short-term outplacement services
are offered, because candidate participation can extend beyond the consultant-driven
phase of the program.
Key elements of the program include the following:
- A defined workshop program with clear objectives, timelines,
and deliverables, all structured around a project-based approach
- A virtual career center—our proprietary software program, Online
Career Center, which provides an online workbook and a battery of job-search tools.
- Additional Internet resources and databases, particularly for
research and job leads, as well as a full tickler system.
- Webinars (online interactive workshops) such as program orientation,
career continuation/job-search overview, resumes, networking/marketing,
interviewing, and wrap-up/review
- Consultant support and feedback available 24/7 throughout the
program, focusing on assessment, resume development, two-minute drill,
and interview coaching
- Resume preparation, including high-quality hard and soft copies
for candidates
- Dedicated e-mail address for rapid program communication and
correspondence
The project management-based design defines clear steps by which candidates
measure their progress and provide mutual accountability and support. Candidates
use the program from their own location and only need access to the Internet
and a separate phone line. Delivery options include participation by candidates
from different companies for optimum group size or scheduling programs
regularly so candidates can access services rapidly after notification.
